Meghan Markle’s Mum To Wear Burberry To Wedding?
With days to go until Meghan Markle and Prince Harry say ‘I do’ at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, we can’t help but wonder what the couple’s guests will wear to the star-studded occasion.
After all, it’s widely speculated Markle will be dressed in a custom-made Ralph & Russo gown, and rumoured that Kate Middleton will wear yet another Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen creation.
Now, our attention has been drawn towards the mother-of-the-bride, Doria Ragland.
After all, the yoga teacher and former social worker will have a pivotal role at the royal wedding, arriving at the wedding venue with her daughter. She may also walk Meghan down the aisle following her father Thomas Markle Sr's recent photo scandal and reported heart attack.
Yesterday, the Daily Mail captured Ragland leaving her California home on her way to the airport and all eyes were on her luggage.
In the snaps, Ragland was spotted carrying a Burberry garment bag, leading many royal fans to assume she may opt to wear a dress by the iconic London-based label on Meghan’s big day.
However, perhaps Meghan’s mum is hiding a dress by another designer under an old Burberry garment bag?
After all, the Suits star is a keen Burberry ‘model’, having worn a tartan Burberry coat for her visit to Edinburgh earlier this year. So, it wouldn’t be surprising if Meghan had lent her mother some luxe garment bags over the last few months to protect her clothes ahead of her cross-Atlantic flight.
In April, fashion designer Henry Holland revealed to the Brit bridal podcast Wedding Guest Extraordinaire that he believed Burberry could be a contender for the coveted royal wedding dress designer role.
‘I would be quite excited if it was Christopher Bailey's final bow for Burberry. I think that would be a nice thing for him to do, she's worn them for a long time,’ reports The Independent.
Well, at least we won’t have to wait too long to find out what Markle and Doria Ragland wear.
