While this may come as a surprise to some, the Sussexes and the Obamas have a longstanding relationship.
There have been several meetings between the trio through the years but one of their most famous moments is when they teamed up to promote the Invictus Games in Orlando.
Harry convinced his grandmother the Queen to star in a comedy sketch for the 2016 Games, where they traded mic drops with the President and First Lady.
When Meghan and Harry made their public debut as a couple at the Invictus Games Toronto in September 2017, Barack also joined him courtside for the wheelchair basketball game during the tournament.
Harry and Barack’s bromance continued when the prince interviewed the former US president for BBC Radio 4’s Today programme in December 2017.
Despite rumours that the Obamas were on the guest list for Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018, no political leaders were in attendance.
However, Michelle and Meghan met up when the former First Lady was in London to promote her book ‘Becoming’ last December. While are no photos of the pair, they had a “private conversation” backstage after the event at London's Royal Festival Hall.
She said: “So my biggest piece of advice would be to take some time and don’t be in a hurry to do anything.
“I spent the first few months in the White House mainly worrying about my daughters, making sure they were off to a good start at school and making new friends before I launched into any more ambitious work.
“I think it’s okay – it’s good, even – to do that.”
Meghan even met Barack back in 2015 and was reportedly a supporter of his. She posted a photo with him on her now-deleted Instagram page at the time, with the caption: "Such a pleasure to meet you Mr. President @barackobama #grateful.”

When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born on May 6, Michelle tweeted joint well-wishes, saying: “Congratulations, Meghan and Harry! Barack and I are so thrilled for both of you and can't wait to meet him.”
