Last week, we reported that Meghan Markle had taken a sneaky trip across the pond to her former home city of Toronto, to spend some quality time with her best friend Jessica Mulroney.

What with all the riches of the royal family, you might expect that the Duchess flew on a private jet to ensure optimum privacy. But according to inside reports, that wasn't in fact the case. Meghan actually boarded a regular Air Canada flight on Tuesday 21 August. Royal Central, who spoke to an unnamed source aboard the plane, revealed that the Duchess wore all black in a bid to "blend in with passengers" and avoid drawing attention to herself.

"She was dressed in skinny black jeans, a black cashmere sweater, black ballerina flats and a black baseball cap pulled down over her face," the specialist royal website reported.

"She had two secret service guys with her, but it was all very low key," the source added.

It has also been reported that Kensington Palace wrote to Air Canada prior to Meghan's flight, requesting that nobody (passengers and staff included) take pictures with Meghan or approach her.

And by the sounds of it, Meghan passed the time on her flight much like anyone else would, taking full advantage of the on-board drinks offerings before watching some in-flight entertainment.

"Meghan had one glass of champagne before settling down to watch Book Club," the source revealed. "She seemed very relaxed and sipped on peppermint tea during the journey."

When she arrived in Canada, the Duchess of Sussex stayed with Jessica and her husband Ben, along with their three children, Brian, John and Ivy. All three of the Mulroney children were included in Meghan's bridal party, with an insider reporting that the youngsters "love seeing their Auntie Meg".

After three days in Toronto, Meghan returned to London to watch a gala performance of Hamilton in the West End, where she was overheard referring to Prince Harry as "my love". Adorable.
