As much as I love the look of a knee-high boot, they aren’t always the most practical; they can look bumpy under pants and aren’t typically size inclusive — which is why I love a sleek bootie. You get that same chic look popping out from under your favorite pair of jeans without the extra layer of sweat-inducing leather around your leg. And according to J.Crew shoppers, these pointed-toe suede booties are “absolutely gorgeous” and wide-calf friendly. “They’re well made and the style is truly just so perfect — minimal and sophisticated. The reality is that if you want a nice winter coat that’ll last for years to come, you either have to be willing to dig through vintage stores or splurge. And as someone who tends to opt for the latter, I’m eyeing the Palais Topcoat while it’s temporarily in my budget. This might be the chicest winter coat I’ve seen this year, bringing modern touches — like a collarless design and oversized fit shoppers describe as “relaxed but not sloppy” — to a timeless silhouette.
