It’s official: the Duchess of Sussex has made her debut appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony at Trooping the Colour 2018.

For the prestigious ceremony – which marks Queen Elizabeth II’s 92nd birthday – was the perfect opportunity for the former actress to demonstrate her sartorial prowess and she didn’t disappoint.

Seeking inspiration from sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge’s 2017 fuschia-hued look, the 36-year-old opted for a blush pink skirt suit and scored serious style points in the process.

Glowing from her rumoured honeymoon and eschewing her go-to messy bun in favour of more polished locks, there’s no denying that the former actress stole the show.

Her cold-shoulder co-ord by Carolina Herrera was fitting for the regal pomp and pageantry of the big day and she accessorised the look with a co-ordinating hat by Philip Treacy.

Though it’s not the first time Meghan has donned the tilted accessory, as she previously wore the powder pink hat at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday celebrations with a sheer dress by London-based label Goat.

Despite the fact that it was her debut Trooping the Colour, Meghan didn’t seem fazed by the flag-bearing crowds and was guided through the day by Prince Harry who could be seen talking her through the event.

When the family gathered on the Buckingham Palace balcony at 1pm to watch the now-famous fly-over, Meghan could be seen chatting away to Camilla Parker-Bowles.

The nation will next catch a glimpse of the Duchess of Sussex on June 14, as she is preparing for her debut joint engagement with the Queen.
