Meghan Markle was just spotted undercover on a solo shopping trip for Archie and Lilibet
Despite a lot of Covid uncertainty currently playing out, we're still trying our best to remain festive and get into the spirit of Christmas – a huge part of which is buying special gifts and tokens for loved ones, to show how much you care. The same goes for Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, who was spotted Christmas shopping last week whilst adopting a very incognito look.
Spotted in California's Montecito, where she and Prince Harry now live with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, Meghan was seen hoping to blend into the background wearing a hat, protective face mask and sunglasses, whilst visiting a few shops.
However, with her bodyguard and driver in tow, and the fact that she's one of the most famous people in the world, she was spotted by a few nearby photographers and shoppers:
It's reported that Meghan had a browse in the Upstairs gift section of Pierre LaFond, which stocks everything from locally made candles, soaps and perfumes, to books and cuddly toys.
One fellow shopper told Daily Mail: "There was a franticness to her shopping, like she was just itching to get out and be somewhat normal. Even if it was for just an hour."
Meghan is then believed to have nipped into Poppy, a children's clothing shop (lucky Archie and Lili!), and a home goods shop also in the area.
Keen to get the details on the Duchess of Sussex's outfit too? It's said that she was wearing a Massimo Dutti wool coat that she's owned for quite some time, Tamara Mellon boots, Le Specs Air Heart sunglasses and carried a Bottega Veneta wallet. Always good to know, just in case you're, err, wanting to leave any pointers for Santa this year yourself...
It sounds like Meghan's in-laws, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have also been busy getting prepped for Christmas. Despite the Queen sadly having to call off her annual Christmas lunch with her extended family, due to Covid concerns, Prince William recently paid a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London where he chatted away with patients about all things festive.
During his visit, the future king revealed his favourite Christmas movie too – and it's one that you'll almost certainly have on your own 'to watch' list... Elf!
