Meghan Markle has announced some very exciting news.
The 39-year-old has written a children's book, which is set for release for 8 June 2021 (but is available for pre-order now), and will be suitable for children of 3 to 7 years old.
The Duchess has titled the illustrated book The Bench, and is said to have been inspired by the relationship between fathers and sons, through a mother's eyes.

Speaking about her forthcoming venture, she says: “The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Father’s Day, the month after Archie was born.
“That poem became this story. [Artist] Christian [Robinson] layered in beautiful and ethereal watercolour illustrations that capture the warmth, joy, and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life; this representation was particularly important to me, and Christian and I worked closely to depict this special bond through an inclusive lens."
Speaking about her aim for the book, she said: "[I hope it] resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine”.
The Bench has been illustrated by award-winning artist Christian Robinson, and will be published by Penguin Random House.
It will also come in audiobook form, which as a former actor, the Duchess of Sussex will narrate herself. This will be released in America by Listening Library and in the UK via Penguin Random House UK Audio.
