Meghan and Harry share a throwback photo in new thank you cards
If there's one royal tradition that we love more than anything, it's the art of the royal thank you card. Steeped in history, it has become a symbolic way for the royals to thank well-wishers.
While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have left royal life for a new beginning in Calfornia, it seems that the couple are still maintaining the nice tradition, and we're pretty thrilled about it.
Following on from their adorable 2020 Christmas Card featuring a very grown-up looking Archie (who, side note, turns two this year...), the Sussexes sent fans a sweet card to thank them for their festive wishes.
Featuring what has to be one of the sweetest throwback photos of the couple, from their 2018 royal tour of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, Meghan is pictured holding an umbrella over Harry in the rain.
Inside the card, the couple wrote: "Thank you for your thoughtful message. We appreciate your kind words and the time you have taken to write to us on this special occasion. Sending you our warmest wishes. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex."

Ahhhh nothing like an official card from Harry and Meg to keep you feeling warm inside.
In a stylish step back from traditional royal portraits, for their 2020 Christmas card (which was released via a charity Meghan is patron for, The Mayhew) the couple opted for an abstract style painting of the family in their backyard. It was their first card after officially stepping down as senior members of the royal family, and we were all pretty excited to see it.
As it happens, Meghan dabbled in wedding calligraphy before she landed her role on Suits, so you could say card giving and thank you notes are kind of her thing.
Working royal status or not, it looks like there will be plenty more post from Harry and Meghan coming in the future. Now, if only we could get our names on that enviable mailing list...
