Meghan's mum reveals her Royal Wedding highlight
Aside from, you know, watching her daughter marry the love of her life (who is conveniently a prince), Meghan Markle's mother Doria had a surprising personal high note from the royal wedding.
"Doria is saying the biggest highlight of the wedding, of course after watching her daughter say 'I do' to the man she loves, was meeting the queen," a source told Us Weekly. "It would have been extremely intimidating for anyone, but Meghan and Harry really did a marvellous job of preparing her [with] what to expect."
And really, can you blame her?! Idk if you guys watch The Crown or anything but Queen Elizabeth is the absolute GOAT. Seriously, at 92 years old the woman is still ruling the world and giving the internet meme-worthy looks such as this:
And, not to mention, she wore LIME GREEN to her grandson's wedding. LIME GREEN YOU GUYS.
Like, is she or is she not the cutest royal you've ever seen?
Doria met Queen Elizabeth for tea the week of the wedding, with Prince Harry and Meghan by her side. Apparently the young couple helped Doria prep for the get-together by sharing memories of the monarch.
Harry told her "numerous stories about the queen as a grandmother and what she [means] to him," the source said.
Doria also met Prince Charles, Camilla, William, and Kate that same week before the wedding, and from the looks of it, they all got along really well. Prince Charles even took Doria's arm as they walked out of the church on the wedding day.
So cute!
