McVitie's announces new range of biscuits – and we're excited

Stick on the kettle and get ready to break out the bickies because McVitie's is launching a delicious-sounding new range of biscuits: McVitie's V.I.Bs, aka Very Important Biscuits.

According to the British snack food brand, the V.I.Bs offer a deluxe flavour sensation that is very difficult to describe but will appeal to all biscuit fans, especially lovers of caramel.

Safe to say we're intrigued!

The V.I.Bs are available in three tasty variants – Classic Caramel Bliss, Heavenly Chocolate Hazelnut and Luscious Blood Orange. Each biscuit has been golden baked, topped with a layer of chewy caramel, and finished off with a thick coating of McVitie's iconic silky-smooth milk chocolate.

McVitie's describes its new range as having an "astounding flavour and irresistible texture, combining to form the pinnacle of our biscuit portfolio". Our stomachs are suddenly rumbling.

The V.I.Bs range is available for RRP £1.79 per packet in Asda from 12 July, and other major retailers from the end of August.

Earlier this year, McVitie's gave the classic Digestive biscuit a brand new upgrade with its 'Best of British' range, combining nostalgic flavours with its iconic biscuit. The new flavours are Cherry Bakewell, Marmalade on Toast and Strawberries & Cream.

This isn't the first time McVitie's has experimented with its classic biscuit range – earlier this year, it announced a tropical new Pineapple Jaffa Cake flavour. Back in 2019, it also launched Digestive Twists, with a choice between Chocolate Chip and Caramel Bits or Chocolate Chip and Coconut.

Dig in!

The V.I.Bs will be available at Asda from 12 July.
