McDonald's Has 50-Cent Double Cheeseburgers Today Only

McDonald's Double Cheeseburger.Fast food fans, listen up — McDonalds' double cheeseburgers are on sale for one day only.
The chain announced on Monday, Dec. 16 that customers can snag a double cheeseburger for only 50 cents, and the deal expires at midnight.
The discounted double cheeseburger — which features two beef patties, pickles, chopped onions, ketchup, mustard and American cheese slices on a bun — is only redeemable in the McDonald's app once, per the restaurant's website.

McDonald's has got a few other in-store deals for the holiday season.
First-time users of their app can score a free 10-piece order Chicken McNuggets with a $1 minimum purchase. Customers just have to download the app for the first time and opt into rewards to snag the freebie.
The store has a few fan-favorite menu items coming back as well. McDonald’s USA president Joe Erlinger previously confirmed that the Snack Wrap is coming back in 2025.
"This has a cult following. I get so many emails into my inbox about this product. It will be back in 2025," Erlinger said in an interview with Good Morning America on Dec. 5 , referring to the lunch item consisting of chicken, lettuce and shredded cheese in a tortilla, with either ranch or honey mustard. It first became available in 2006 before McDonalds discontinued it in 2016.

"It does [have a cult following]. It really does," he added, before clarifying that he couldn't reveal its "exact" return date for "competitive reasons."

Just last month, the company announced that it would be launching its new "McValue" menu with "Buy One, Add One for $1" and "$5 Meal Deal" discounts for some of its popular items in 2025. The new initiative will be available to customers starting Jan. 7.

McDonald's customers can get the discounted cheeseburgers by ordering in the official app.The company says that the deal — which allows customers to get a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, small fries, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets and a small soft drink for just $5 — has been "extended through next summer."
Other hamburger spots have upped the number of deals they're offering for the holiday season as well.
That includes Shake Shack, which announced on Monday that from now until Christmas Eve — Tuesday, Dec. 24 — customers can score free burgers daily. Each of the nine days brings a different freebie, which can be redeemed with a minimum purchase of $10.
Some of the items include the SmokeShack, Black Truffle Burger, ShackBurger, avocado bacon burger, cheeseburger and bacon cheeseburger. Fans can redeem the deal using the promo code BURGERBLITZ on the restaurant’s app and in stores across the country.
