Let’s not mess about: McDonald’s Monopoly is the highlight of the year for a lot of British people. Forget Christmas. Who cares about Valentine’s Day? Easter? Pffft. It’s all about winning those prizes on McDonald’s Monopoly.
When does McDonald’s Monopoly start?
So, we don’t know a great deal about Maccies’ plans for its big prize giveaway just yet, but we would hazard a guess that, seeing as McDonald’s Monopoly has started in March for the past few years, we should be getting it at the same time this year, aka pretty damn soon.
Last year the competition ran for six weeks from 20 March until 30 April, so we’re expecting much of the same in 2020.
How to play McDonald’s Monopoly
McDonald’s Monopoly is basically the same as regular Monopoly – you have to collect as many sets of streets as possible, and you get these by ordering McDonald’s food. Each thing you order off the menu will come with Monopoly token, so you just have to hope you get the one you’re in the market for.
Obviously, some of these are rarer than others, as these are the ones that will get you more impressive prizes.

Again, we have no official word on what prizes will be up for grabs in 2020, but judging by last year’s, we’re expecting big things again.
