Maya Jama's naked breastplate dress is giving optical illusion it's so realistic
Whether you've been watching the latest season of Love Island or not, you can't have missed Maya Jama's outfits. From see-through white crochet minis to backless leather dresses with waist-high (!!) leg slits to shredded sarong-style designs, the TV presenter has really pulled out all the stops with her most daring, show-stopping looks to date.
If you don't know what we're talking about, allow us to bring you up to speed. And where better to start than with Maya's most recent ensemble for last night's [Sunday 21 July] episode of Love Island: After Sun? The final show filmed in London before the production team heads over to Mallorca for the impending series final.
Maya gave her followers an advanced look at her fit, taking to Instagram stories to post a short clip of her donning and dancing in a strapless maroon gown.
The dress comprised of a breastplate bodice that looked so perfectly moulded to Maya's body, we're not fully convinced she wasn't just dipped in resin to create the stunning attire. As well as featuring a belly button and body contours, the breastplate also gave the illusion of draped fabric wrapped around the waist, leading perfectly into the figure-hugging maxi skirt that finished the design.
Maya kept the rest of her look relatively simple, with her long dark tresses worn down and styled in loose tousled waves. She skipped all accessories for her first appearance on the show since she confirmed her break-up with Stormzy.
She applied the same ‘less is more’ ethos to another of her previous Love Island 'fits, namely the red latex dress from Poster Girl that flashed plenty of side-boob with the barely-there flame-motif straps that doubled as the dress' cups.
We told you – this season, Maya did not come to play on the fashion front.
