Maya Jama leaves Love Island: Aftersun audience speechless with shocking sweary joke
Maya Jama made a joke about one of the Love Island contestants that left the live audience gasping in shock - but viewers at home said the Aftersun host was ‘on form’.
On Love Island: Aftersun today (Sunday, 30 June), Maya was chatting with Amy Hart and Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson on about one of the most-talked about moments of this week.
They discussed Ciaran Davies confessing his bodycount to current partner Nicole Samuel - where he claimed he’d slept with over 100 women. Sam insisted: “You’d lose count! Unless he’s got an Excel spreadsheet. How does he know it’s 120?”
Amy said: “The thing is though, they’re both from Wales, 20 minutes away from each other. So they might go out clubbing and all 120 might be there.”
The audience laughed and Maya added: “Might have sh**ged a cousin, who knows.” She was met with shock from the audience as Maya insisted: “I’m joking!”
Maya swiftly moved on to the topic of Casa Amor, but the fans took to social media to laugh about the situation.
One wrote: “Gunna sh**ged her cousin hahaha. Maya on form, still pissed from Glasto #LoveIslandaftersun ”. Another commented: "He might have sh**ged his cousin MAYA STOP IT NOWWWW".
A third added: “I didn't think about that but Maya had a point with the comment on Nicole's cousin #loveIsland #LoveIslandAfterSun”.
And a fourth feared: “I feel like Maya is gonna pay for the cousin comment #loveislandaftersun ”.
During the show, Maya apologised for her raspy voice insisting Glastonbury was to blame but that she was committed to getting through it.
The most recent dumpees Harriett Blackmore and Ronnie Vint also appeared on the show to talk about their experience.
When asked whether they knew they would be causing chaos, Ronnie said he did and added: "I stated off eyes on Jess, then I see this one in the kitchen and it's dangerous."
Ronnie went on to explain the love triangle situation. "I hit a big speedbump and Harriett came and picked me up."
The footage of Ronnie then kissing Tiffany Leighton during their trip away from the villa was played and it didn't seem that Harriett knew the pair kissed. Ronnie covered Harriett's eyes as the footage rolled.
Afterwards, Ronnie said "I'm a changed man. You have to learn from your mistakes. I'm happy"
When Maya asked Harriett how she felt about seeing that footage, she responded: "Obviously I didn't expect that, but we're in a good place now. It's all in the past."
