When it comes to Lego the world has an insatiable appetite for the infinite possibilities these simple plastic bricks can conjure.
We’ve been amazed and delighted by recreations of iconic buildings, perfectly crafted animals and positively delicious looking food. So imagine our glee when we stumbled upon these Lego interpretations of fine works of art with a twist, created by Italian art director and graphic designer Marco Sodano.
Sodano collaborated with brand agency Geometry Global, drawing inspiration from the brief: “Every child with LEGO can become a great artist.”
We love the way Sodano has turned these classics on their heads, reimagining them as pixel portraits. Despite the lack of discernible detail they’re instantly recognisable - especially if you stand back.
