Is Marvel Rivals offline? Season 1 features, server details and when it will be back online
With Season 0 wrapped up, NetEase is kicking off Marvel Rivals Season 1 today, alongside the rollout of update v20250110.
While this update leans heavily on hero adjustments rather than team-up abilities (for now), there's plenty more for fans to get excited about.
To prepare for the Season 1 launch, Marvel Rivals servers are temporarily down, but the wait will be worth it, Mirror reports.

The update promises an array of exciting new features, including fresh maps, ranked system changes, and the introduction of the high-stakes Doom Match game mode.
Players can also expect a bunch of balancing tweaks, with NetEase diving into fine-tuned hero adjustments outlined in the latest patch notes. However, the real showstopper is the long-awaited debut of the Fantastic Four.
Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman will join the action when servers come back online later today, making Season 1 one of the most anticipated updates yet.
Season 0 of Marvel Rivals was a brief but thrilling ride, lasting just five weeks. Now, NetEase is turning up the heat by adopting the mid-season update strategy made popular by games like 'Warzone' and 'Diablo 4'.
To kick things off, Season 1 will be a double feature, with an exciting mid-season update introducing the Human Torch and The Thing, completing Marvel’s First Family and expanding the roster of heroes.
When the servers come back online, players can also expect some notable tweaks to the existing lineup. One standout update is a long-awaited nerf to Jeff the Land Shark’s ultimate, a change the community has been demanding since launch.
Whether you’re a veteran player caught up in the Marvel Rivals buzz or a newcomer eager to dive in, today’s update is packed with reasons to play. From fresh characters to new content and refined gameplay, there’s never been a better time to join the action.
The Marvel Rivals servers are expected to be back online for everyone right around the Season 1 start time shared by NetEase, or shortly after.
The maintenance began today (January 10) at 7am GMT / 2am EST, which translates to 11pm PST on Thursday, January 9 for players on the US West Coast.
Don’t be surprised if you were booted out a little early, just like Fortnite’s habit of turfing players out 30 minutes before downtime kicks in.
According to an official tweet from Marvel Rivals, the servers are expected to be back online by 9:10am GMT / 4:10am EST / 1:10am PST, meaning the downtime should last just over two hours.
However, there’s a catch: NetEase has warned that "server return times may vary based on progress." So, while you might get lucky and log back in earlier than expected, there’s also a chance things could run slightly longer.
Given the downtime is already cutting it close to the scheduled start of Season 1, it’s unlikely the delay will extend much further. Keep an eye on updates, and get ready to jump back in as soon as the servers are live.
