Marks & Spencer's sell-out coat is back in the colour of the season
We love seeing new coat trends emerging every year, but we think it's time to call it: the borg jacket is officially a classic, and a must-have in your autumn/winter capsule wardrobe.
No doubt influenced by fashion-editor-favourite Toteme's cult design – which has been popular with the style set for several years now – borg jackets with statement toggles are set to be everywhere again this season.
Designer price tags out of budget right now? We've got good news! After last year's sell-out hit, trusty Marks & Spencer has revamped its popular borg coat for 2024 – and it's gone straight to the top of our new fashion wish list.
The new-in borg jacket gives us major designer vibes, and looks so much more expensive than it actually is. It features stand-out toggle detailing like many of the high-end styles, with a curved hem for a timeless silhouette.
Available in two chic colours - natural beige and dark chocolate brown - we can already see this being the hardest-working piece in our new-season wardrobe, paired with everything from jeans to wide-leg trousers, or thrown over midi dresses and maxi skirts.
Compared to last year's £149 chocolate-brown wool-mix design, this fresh style is cheaper at £75 – likely down to the fact that it's made from polyester rather than wool.
M&S' coat has now landed in stores and online, available in sizes 6 to 24. It's no surprise to see that it's been marked 'popular' on the website, so we reckon it won't be around for long.
We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for more borg jackets and coats, as no doubt high-street and designer labels alike will have plenty more to offer this season...
