Marks & Spencer's £37.50 polka dot blouse taps into a key spring trend

Now that we’ve moved on from January sales shopping, it’s time to start dreaming of warmer, spring days as we consider the trends that are in store for the season ahead. Bubble hems and sharp suiting are among the more wearable styles spotted on the spring/summer 2025 catwalks, but there’s particularly good news if you’re a fan of playful print.

This spring, there’s set to be a resurgence of polka dots – that timeless print that serves as a chic alternative to leopard and florals. The classic black and white pattern was prominent at Valentino’s S/S 25 show, where it adorned dresses and silk shirts, as well as at Carolina Herrera, Nina Ricci and Moschino. The polka dot trend has been making its way onto the high street, too, where there are plenty of options to consider at affordable price points.
