Marks & Spencer Black Friday sale is here for 2023: here's what to buy now
The M&S sale is finally here and we're looking forward to shopping the deals across the many departments from womenswear to homeware.
An icon of the Great British high street, Marks & Spencer's offering is vast, running the gamut from bedding and furniture to beauty products, kidswear and women's fashion.
For anyone looking to start their Christmas shopping, now is a great time to consider everything from party dresses to Christmas tree decorations.
Although the retailer doesn't technically take part in the Black Friday shopping event, calling it their festive offers instead, it always delivers with some serious discounts in November, making it one of the most anticipated sales of the season.

What to shop in M&S' Black Friday Sale
Fashion Deals
While we are still waiting for M&S to drop discounts on its own styles, the department store has already started the deals for some of its main brands.

Saying that, the retailer has dropped a huge sale that very same weekend every year since, so there's still lots of opportunity to make big savings at this time.
What should I look out for in Marks & Spencer's Black Friday sale?
This year, the deals at M&S have continued to be rolled out across the week – meaning there are plenty of items on offer.
Try to avoid making purchases that you'll only regret later on. Shopping online means you can avoid crazy queues and general chaos – and doing it this way will probably offer better size options and stock levels, too.
When is Black Friday 2023?
This year, Black Friday starts on Friday 24 November. Saying that, most retailers start discounting their products earlier than Friday – sometimes throughout the whole month – so stay alert throughout November to find the best deals, especially if you've got your eye on something in particular.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday actually originates in the US – it references the post-Thanksgiving sales. The annual event, thought to be kick-started by department store Macy’s, has grown in popularity ever since the ‘30s, but the term 'Black Friday' wasn't officially coined until later on.
It wasn't until 2010 that the trend took off in the UK, when Amazon offered the first Black Friday sale over here with online discounts and deals for customers on the same day as the sales in America.
Now, Black Friday is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) shopping events of the year, with most retailers taking part in some way. We only expect further growth as the years go on.
