Mariska Hargitay Sparkles in Silver Self-Portrait Dress for ‘Law & Order: SVU’ 25th Anniversary Celebration
Mariska Hargitay opted for a sequined tulle Self Portrait midi dress for Tuesday’s “Law & Order: SVU” 25th anniversary celebration in New York. The actress, who plays detective Olivia Benson on one of television’s longest-running drama series, was joined by current and former cast members including Christopher Meloni, Kelli Giddish, Ice-T and Tamara Tunie.
The actress accessorized with black strappy pumps, completing her look with diamond and emerald jewels by Mindi Mond New York and Dena Kemp.

Meg Chapman and Jordan LaValle dressed Hargitay for the occasion. The celebrity styling duo, who’ve worked closely with Hargitay since at least 2018, also count Alyssa Milano and Mary Elizabeth Ellis as clients.
Sequins and metallics took the runways of Valentino, Balenciaga and Fendi by storm last year. One of 2023’s most popular trends, sequins were also spotted on the likes of Taylor Swift, Julia Garner and Salma Hayek, with Beyoncé ushering in a silver “renaissance” during her latest worldwide tour.
In early 2023, Hargitay fronted a campaign for Stuart Weitzman’s collaboration with the streetwear brand KidSuper, starring in a short film entitled “The Shoe-In.”
“Law & Order: SVU” returns to the small screen on Thursday. Hargitay has received an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her performance in the hit NBC police procedural.
