Margot Robbie Fully Transforms into Barbie (and Gives Us an Iconic Wink) in the First ‘Barbie’ Teaser
Come on, Barbie, let’s go party!
The first teaser for the highly anticipated Barbie movie has finally arrived and Margot Robbie truly embodies the iconic fashion doll from head to toe.

The one-minute teaser transports us to a deserted landscape, where a bunch of little girls are playing with baby dolls. “Since the beginning of time, since the first little girl ever existed, there have been dolls,” actress Helen Mirren narrates.
As a subtle nod to the classic 2001: A Space Odyssey, Barbie appears before them, dressed in a black and white swimsuit with circular shades, and gives a dazzling wink to the camera. What comes next is a personal peek into Barbie’s world.
In another clip, we see Ryan Gosling looking completely unrecognizable as Ken, getting ready to face off against an unknown foe. We also spotted a few brief cameos by the cast, including Issa Rae, Simu Liu and Ncuti Gatwa.
Directed and written by Greta Gerwig, Barbie is set to debut in theaters on July 21, 2023. Back in April, Warner Bros. Pictures released a teaser image of Robbie rocking a blue and white Barbie ensemble while driving in a bubble gum pink car. Only a few months later, the production company released exclusive photos of Gosling turning into Barbie’s plastic doll boyfriend, Ken.
