Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley are reportedly set to become parents for the first time.

The 34 year old Barbie actress and film producer Tom, also 34, are expecting their first child, according to multiple sources who spoke to PEOPLE. The couple first crossed paths in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Francaise.

They said "I do" in a private ceremony in Australia's Byron Bay in December 2016, which came as a shock to many since they had kept their engagement under wraps.

The news follows recent paparazzi snaps of the pair holidaying in Lake Como, with Margot showing off her apparent baby bump in a chic white crop top and a blazer casually draped over her shoulders. The couple were spotted all smiles as they boarded a yacht.

OK! has contacted reps for Margot and Tom for comment.

The happy news is dream come true for Margot, who previously revealed she'd always wanted children with Tom.

Speaking to Porter in a 2018 interview, Margot said: "If I'm looking into my future 30 years from now, I want to see a big Christmas dinner with tons of kids there.

"But definitely not at the moment. That's 100 percent certain."

In an interview with Vogue back in 2016, Margot opened up about her relationship with Tom and the first time they met. She said: "I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit. And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long.

"I was always in love with him, but I thought, Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him. And then it happened, and I was like, 'Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.'"

Last month, Tom spoke to The Sunday Times about how he and his wife balance both their personal and professional lives. The two have kept their marriage extremely private. He said: "It’s seamless. We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing."

Margot and Tom were friends first and collaborated on a four-person producing team at LuckyChap, which also included her childhood friend Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara. The company worked on TV shows and movies with Margot including Saltburn, Promising Young Woman and Barbie.
