Panic attacks, puking and passing out.

She’s not going into the pits of hell — she’s just going on a date.

A staggering 68% of women say dating is their leading source of stress, per a new study via matchmaking app Flirtini.

And for some single sirens, the near-crippling anxiety of meeting a potential paramour has prompted profuse sweating, vomiting and fainting while out with the would-be beau.

“Some 36% of women have passed out on a date due to stress,” the study shockingly revealed. “Eighteen percent of women admit they have puked while on a date.”

“Dating isn’t easy, especially if you’re a woman. For 68% of women, there’s nothing more anxiety-inducing than finding love,” wrote authors from the romance site in the April 2024 report.

For their findings, Flirtini analysts surveyed 2,000 men and women over age 18 to determine the impact of anxiety on dating.

While 71% of guys admitted to experiencing dating-related stress on occasion, an astounding 92% of gals copped to becoming nerve-stricken before a one-on-one.

Pre-date jitters have caused a whopping 65% of women to cancel on their gentlemen callers. Only 25% of the men surveyed confessed to doing the same.

Similarly, 63% of women and 20% of men said they’ve suffered panic attacks in the build-up to a date.

For neurotic lovebirds who fought through the terror, things rarely went off with flying colors.

“From making an awkward joke that doesn’t quite land to dropping your cutlery, or spilling a drink all over your date,” the investigators continued, “we’ve all had those uncomfortable mid-date moments that make us consider changing our name and moving far, far away.”

Distressed dudes also admitted to being less than debonair.

“For men, the biggest stress-induced dating faux pas is behaving awkwardly and acting clumsily, which 30% are prone to,” noted researchers.

The study additionally addressed why women’s nerves are especially unraveled when it comes to dating.

“It might be due to social expectations — constantly being told you have to find a partner before you lose your looks,” continued researchers. “Or it might be due to safety concerns, with women far more likely to experience harassment or abuse.”

And they’re right.

The controversial “anti-aging” craze has Gen Z girlies in full fear of losing their youthful glow and becoming “unattractive hags” by age 30. And a recent wave of date-rape attacks at the hands of men has inspired a number of women to pursue same-sex romances.

But there is hope for the high-strung honeys.

“Stop holding yourself to such high standards, learn to be confident in your own skin,“ advised the dating pros — who also found that 46% of women quell dating anxieties with food, while 46% calm their nerves by masturbating.

“If the thought of dating fills your stomach with butterflies, that’s okay,” insiders assured. “There are billions out there that share your feelings.

“As long as you put yourself out there, you’ll find someone that loves everything about you — anxiety and all.”
