Two letters tell the love story of a newly engaged couple.

Early in Ashley Paré's relationship with Kyle Hall, she confessed to him that she loves letters because they're "something you can keep forever." But Paré, 27, never expected what Hall, 26, would do with that information.

Even though the couple went to the same high school and lived five minutes away from one another, they didn't cross paths until late 2022 when they matched on Facebook Dating. Hall eventually messaged her, asking her out on a date.

"We went on a walk, and we have been inseparable ever since," Paré tells PEOPLE.

Almost two months after they met, Hall remembered what Paré had told him about letters and knew that writing one would be the perfect way to signify that he was ready for the next step of their relationship.

Inside Paré's kitchen on Dec. 30, 2022, he gave her a bouquet of flowers with the handwritten letter, which he spent two days crafting, asking her to be his girlfriend.

"I absolutely bawled my eyes out when I read the letter," Paré says. "This was my first real relationship as an adult, and I never ever thought someone would love me like he does."

She adds: "My favorite part of the letter has to be when he acknowledges that after everything that I have been through, it was amazing to him that I still had so much love to give."

About two years later on Dec. 14, 2024, Hall proposed in the same kitchen he asked Paré to be his girlfriend in. As soon as Paré walked into the house, her boyfriend's brother handed her another heartfelt letter written by Hall to read.

"I was crying and emotional when Kyle came out of nowhere down on one knee and asked me to be his wife," Paré recalls. "It was such a special and intimate moment that I will never forget."

The bride-to-be says she "couldn't speak" when she realized what was happening and began "bawling happy tears and smiling at the same time"

"My favorite part of this letter was probably when Kyle went over all the things we’ve done together throughout our relationship and when he said I had made him a better person," she says, adding that it was "a full circle moment."

"It was such a full circle moment because so much had grown and changed in two years," Paré continues. "The kitchen was now ours not just mine and we renovated it together, so it was kind of like the kitchen grew with our relationship in a weird way. I had bought and lived in that house by myself and to be standing in that kitchen with the love of my life, our dogs, and people close to us just made me beyond happy."

A video of Paré replacing Hall's first letter with his second letter has more than 200,000 views on TikTok. Inside the bedroom frame with the letters are flowers from the bouquet Hall gave Paré when he asked her to be his girlfriend. Since then, Paré has added one flower from each bouquet Hall has given her throughout their relationship.

In the comments section, TikTokers congratulated Paré and noted how "lucky" she is to have such a caring partner. They also encouraged her to add flowers from their future wedding into the frame.

The soon-to-be bride and groom will say "I do" in February 2026. Paré agrees with her followers' suggestions and will be incorporating elements of her wedding into the frame.

"I think we will have the letters on display at the table with the signing book!" Paré says. "After the wedding, I will add flowers from my bouquet and Kyle's boutonniere into the frame!"
