Malbon Creates First Tennis Capsule With Prince
Malbon Golf is expanding its reach beyond the links with a new collaboration with Prince, the racket sports brand.
The two companies have partnered on a limited-edition capsule of apparel and tennis gear inspired by the Andre Agassi era in the ‘80s and ‘90s.

The palette is basically neutral with red as a pop color and includes shirts, pants, shorts and jackets for men and women as well as rackets and bags. They will retail for $60 to $220.
Matthew Salter, senior vice president of partnership marketing at Authentic Brands Group, which owns the Prince brand, said this is the first time the label has worked with Malbon. But Authentic has worked with the golf brand for some of its other labels.
“Building on the success of previous collaborations with Malbon, such as Spyder, we knew that they would be the perfect partner to bring our vision to life,” he said.
He added that although this is the first time Malbon has worked with a tennis brand, he thought it was a good fit.
“Prince and Malbon have a shared passion for elevated style. We saw the opportunity to collaborate with Malbon due to their unique and innovative designs and ability to bridge the gap between streetwear and sport. At the same time, Prince’s timeless tennis style continues to permeate into lifestyle categories. By joining forces with a leading golf brand like Malbon, we can bring our respective brand audiences together through a collective appreciation of sport and style.”
“It’s an honor to work with Prince, a historically prominent brand in the tennis space,” said Stephen Malbon, founder of Malbon. “I grew up playing tennis and it’s still one of my favorite leisurely sports to play — besides golf, of course.”
The collection launched March 29 and will be sold on the Malbon website as well as in its stores.
