Married At First Sight’s Amy Kenyon has revealed what went on behind the scenes during one infamous moment in this year’s show. During the homestays towards the end of the experiment, she went out to dinner with her husband Luke and two of her friends, and things got explosive, with Luke taking his ring off and Amy throwing hers across the room.

It wasn’t until the end of the dinner that Amy left Luke at the restaurant, despite these blow-ups, but in an Instagram Q&A she has filled fans in on what really happened, including that she “walked out” twice during the dinner but those moments were edited out and not shown on TV.

During the Q&A she was asked: “Why did you make your husband feel so small with your friends, your a shocking wife.” In reply, Amy wrote: “Oh yes because me and the girls are nasty and really were wound up for no reason whatsoever. Strange Luke felt attacked however persisted to sit at the table for over 30 minutes without leaving asking them to ask him questions.”

She then added: “I actually stood up and walked out twice in this scene so it just shows how much you don’t know or see.”

Ahead of the final vows episode showing on Tuesday 12 November, in which viewers will see whether Luke and Amy stay together, Amy has shared a series of photos from the couple’s time on MAFS together.

Alongside behind the scenes shots of their honeymoon, and a video of Amy sat at a piano, she wrote: “Ahead of final vows this evening, here’s some happy moments from our journey together.

"We had so much fun, so many laughs and smiles that you may not have seen. This is what kept us pushing forward and lead us to this stage in the experiment.”

Having been criticised for her expressions during the series, Amy signed the post off with the words: “Lots of love, resting b***h face x.” Amy’s followers sent their best wishes following her post.

One wrote: “I’ve loved watching you! As mother to a young girl growing up, one of my biggest wishes for her is to have the confidence to say “no” when she feels something makes her uncomfortable so thank you for being one of the few women on TV that doesn’t allow men to have all the power. Best of luck in all you do.”

Amy replied: “aww this is so lovely thank you so so much! I can’t believe how many women think it’s ok for men to make them feel uncomfortable and be lied to! Thank you so much for the support – if only all mothers could be like you!”
