MAFS Tasha Jay and Paul Liba in marriage shock - 'We're not really married'
Married At First Sight UK stars Tasha Jay and Paul Liba have opened up about their relationship after meeting on the E4 show over one year ago.
As they headed to the BAFTA TV Awards in London on Sunday, 12 May, the pair, who appeared on the most recent series of the show, revealed that their relationship was “stronger than ever” as they continue their romance away from the TV cameras.
“Stronger than ever. We’re the only couple left. Reigning champions I’d say,” Tasha told OK!.
As the only couple from the 2023 season who are still together, 25 year old Tasha also explained what she thought the secret to their long-lasting relationship was.
“I feel like we were just so real with each other and we were genuine about it. There was no lies, there was no manipulation. It was just us wanting to find love and that’s exactly what we got,” she added.
Despite having met each other while at the altar on their wedding day, Tasha and 26 year old Paul let slip that they’re not actually married and would still love to walk down the aisle and say their ‘I dos’ to one another for a second time.
“The chemistry’s still there. I’m waiting on a real ring though, just saying,” Tasha said. “We want a big wedding, big diamond. That’s what I need.”
And for Paul, the guestlist is something he’d change for his and Tasha’s future wedding so that they can ensure that all their loved ones can watch them say their vows and celebrate their special day.
“I think once is enough but if I do it again I’ll make sure everyone’s invited this time,” he joked.
As their relationship continues to blossom away from the spotlight, the loved-up pair also shared that they’re in the process of embarking on a very exciting step in their relationship as they look to move in with one another.
“Not yet. We’re still searching for a place. Paul’s going to hopefully move to Manchester and I’m going to move from Leeds to Manchester and yeah we’re just searching for the right place. We don’t want to rush into it but we see each other all the time,” said Tasha.
The couple’s exciting announcement comes after they opened up about their dreams to begin a family together, with Paul telling OK! that he wanted “loads of kids”.
Meanwhile, Tasha added: “I went to a psychic and they said the maximum I’m going to have is five kids, but I don’t like odd numbers so it would have to be four — six is too many. What car would we drive?! I’d like to have kids when I’m 30. Paul wants to start in two years but no womb, no say!”
