Madelaine Petsch Channels Brigitte Bardot at the Miss Dior Pop-Up
The ‘Riverdale’ star offers up a lesson in coquette beauty.
On Wednesday night in West Hollywood, Dior revealed its Miss Dior Avenue pop-up boutique to celebrate its new Miss Dior Parfum. The French house transformed a raw space into a 1960s Parisian city street, replete with a café, cinema, and a flower shop with fresh-cut blooms.
Inside Dior’s retro-inspired world, Riverdale star Madeleine Petsch looked right at home. Above her crisp white blouse, gold butterfly necklace, and lace max skirt, Petsch channeled Brigitte Bardot—one of the indelible French style icons of the ‘60s—with sultry makeup and a teased half-up style topped off with a bow.
Putting a fresh twist on Bardot’s signatures—think: smoky eyes, bronzed cheeks, and a dusty pink pout—Petsch was a modern-day bombshell. Her makeup artist, Leah Darcy, prepped her skin with Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation before blending Rouge Blush in tawny pink #959 Charnelle and Forever Couture Luminizer in pearlscent #06 Coral Glow into the cheeks for a sun-kissed glow. On the eyes, Darcy rimmed the waterlines with black eyeliner, washed lids in Diorshow 5 Couleurs in #559 Poncho, and finished with generous sweeps of Diorshow Mascara on the lashes.
Last but definitely not least for achieving that Bardotesque pinky nude lip? Just a few swipes of Dior's TikTok-breaking, volume-maximizing Lip Glow Oil in Rosewood, a universally flattering rose pink shade.
Inspired by the legendary muse’s hair, Petsch worked with hairstylist Ryan Richman to create the ultimate French New Wave bombshell look. Her signature red lengths were swept into a half-up, half-down with a set of wispy, face-framing bottleneck bangs. Finally, two velvet bows were affixed to the back of her hair for that quintessential coquette touch.
Petsch’s look captured the essence of ‘60s French film star glamour with ease and playfulness. And trust that everything about it is going straight to our mood boards.
