MAC are releasing a 'Basic Bitch' eyeshadow palette
When I'm alone in bed at night with only my most deepest thoughts (and tears) for company, my biggest fear is that I am a basic bitch.
I love leggings, I start watching Love Actually in November, I use the phrase "I can't even", even when I really can even, I order a skinny hot chocolate in Starbucks, I own a pair of Adidas Superstars, I'm really quite gutted that I didn't get Ed Sheeran tickets, I have definitely liked at least one 'Marilyn Monroe quote' on Instagram, and I have a 'highlighter collection'.
Yes, my Internet friends…as much as I try to fight it, I know that basic runs through these very veins. And what does every 'Basic Bitch' need more of in their lives? Eyeshadow palettes…
Let's be real, we need another eyeshadow palette like we need a new pair of Ugg boots every winter, but who cares because MAC just made an eyeshadow palette especially for us.
Behold the 'Basic Bitch' eyeshadow palette.
MAC's Senior Artist Netta Szekely gave us a sneak peek of this bad boy on her Instagram account and (say it with me now) we are living for this palette.
The palette was being used backstage at Milan Fashion Week and contains 9 shades which are all designed to take your eyeshadow game back to basics.
Clever.
Even more excitedly, all of these shadows appear to be brand new colours and textures, with a mixture of metallics and shimmers in a burgundy/grey tone.
Can I say it now? I feel like I should be allowed to say it now, this is big makeup news after all. Maybe I'll say it with a gif...
But just as quickly as MAC made our dreams come true, they crushed them, as they have confirmed the palette won't be released in the UK.
Won't someone heal my basic, broken heart?
