M&M's Latest Permanent Flavor Is Peanut Butter & Jelly — and We Tried Them
The chocolate candies bring back all of the elementary school lunch table vibes
M&M's is packing a school lunch classic into a sweet treat.
On Sept. 19, the Mars Wrigley candy brand announced Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M's as the latest flavor in their portfolio. The chocolate candies feature berry flavor packed with creamy peanut butter inside.
Packs will hit retailers online and in-store starting in December in three sizes: a single size, a share size and sharing size stand-up pouches.
Peanut Butter & Jelly M&M's are the first permanent addition from the company since 2022.

PEOPLE staffers got a chance to try the nostalgic flavor before it hits shelves. For starters, there is a very distinct berry aroma wafting from the bag even before the package is open.
To no surprise, the PB&J-flavored candies have a fruit-charged taste upon first bite. While the berry essence is almost a bit too overpowering, the creamy peanut butter pares it down and acts as the perfect complement. (Not unlike a real PB&J sandwich!)

In March, M&M's released another fun and festive flavor — a limited-edition Easter Sundae M&M’S pack featuring a variety of flavors.
Some of the treats consisted of a white chocolate center with vanilla ice cream and cherry notes, and were surrounded in a dark chocolate coating. And in November of 2023, the sweets brand released a toasty vanilla white chocolate M&M's flavor for the holidays.
