A childfree woman who felt “scared” at the idea of becoming a mum says having kids is a “selfish” choice. Abigail Porter, 24, always felt she didn't want to have children ever since she was given baby dolls to play with as a child. She says she felt "scared" she might have to "give up" her freedom and dreams to become a mum. Abigail didn't realise she had a choice not to have children until she was in her teens and saw her aunt living a childfree life. Now she says she is living her "best selfish life" and is able to be "spontaneous" - something she never wants to give up to become a mum.
