I'm a Celebrity viewers were left squirming after Beverley Callard made a dig about an old TV show without realising her campmate had presented it.

The actor, who plays Liz McDonald in in Coronation Street, was having an innocent conversation with a number of her campmates.

When the subject of the series Splash! arose, Callard was quick to say she thought it was rubbish.

However, she had completely forgotten that Vernon Kay had presented the show alongside Gaby Logan.

After revealing that she thought it was one of the most "stupid" TV shows she'd ever seen, Kay responded: "It kept my central heating on though Beverley."

Callard, realising her blunder, apologised as her fellow campmates – including Kay – laughed along.

Splash! ran for two series, and came to an end in 2014.

It followed a group of celebrities who attempted to learn to dive, trained by Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley.

I'm a Celebrity continues nightly at 9pm on ITV1.
