Tom Daley reveals his Paris Olympics knitting project

Tom Daley is currently competing in Paris, in his fifth Olympics representing Great Britain – but as well as his incredible diving, it's his knitting side project that's captured all of our attention.

Before heading to the capital of France, he showed off his much-loved Tokyo cardigan on his Made With Love Instagram page and asked for ideas and inspiration for his next athletic knit.

Now he's shown off the finished project he's been working on while at the Paris Olympics – and we're seriously impressed with the knitted jumper he created.

In a post on his Instagram page, Tom wrote: "I finished my sweater! What do you think?"

Tom shared a video of himself wearing the jumper, which is navy blue with a red collar, sleeves and hem. Along the hemline, Tom has stitched the French and British flags. He's also appliquéd his initials 'TD' on one sleeve and 'Daley' across the back.

On the front, he has appliquéd 'Paris' with the Eiffel Tour incorporated into the lettering.

Before the Games began, the diver took to Instagram to reveal his full design process and even showed off video snippets on the start of the jumper.

Tom captioned the collection of pictures and clips: "My 5th Olympics is underway! I just wanted to jump in here and say a big thank you for all the support, and to let you know that we have so many exciting things coming up for #madewithlove!"

Taking a break from his Olympics training, the father of two can be seen sitting cross-legged making a start on his work.

And of course, while he was receiving tonnes of support for his upcoming efforts in the Olympics, he was also getting plenty of compliments on his knitting work, with @vrp67 commenting: "Great design. Look forward to seeing the finished design for The Paris Olympics…so excited to watch the diving. All the very best to you and Noah. Enjoy the Olympics. Good Luck Team GB." and @milabores04 commenting: "Amazing process! Can’t wait to see this finished."

We're seriously impressed with Tom's finished project!
