Loved-up Alison Hammond looks slimmer than ever as she opens up on her gym routine on This Morning
TV presenter Alison Hammond showed off her slimmer and fitter figure during a fitness segment on This Morning on Friday 14 June.
Joined by fellow host and friend Josie Gibson, 49 year old Alison was wearing skinny jeans, a white blouse and cropped jacket as she joined in a series of exercises as part of a fitness segment with doctor Zoe Williams, who demonstrated an easy routine that strengthens knees.
Alison, who presents This Morning every Friday, usually with Dermot O’Leary, revealed on air that she suffers from knee pain but has been improving her fitness by using weights.
The presenter has previously admitted that she weighed 20 stone at her heaviest and started on a weight loss journey following the death of her mother in 2020. Since then, she has eliminated sugar from her diet to help her shed weight.
Two years ago Alison spoke about her weight on Lorraine Kelly ’s podcast. She said: "Sometimes I look at myself and go, 'Wow, I am a big girl'. But I like taking up a bit of space. I take a little bit of extra space in the world and I don't think I'm hurting anyone."
"We're all going to die eventually. I might die a little bit sooner, but I'm going to live my life to the fullest. And if I do die sooner, I'm going to have a fantastic life. I'm going to have a wonderful life. I'm 47 now, I don't know how long I'm going to go on for."
Alison and Josie’s shared hosting duties on Friday had This Morning fans rushing to social media to praise them. The pair made a dramatic entrance to the studio in a fun Thelma & Louise inspired stunt, complete with a sports car.
One person said on X, which used to be called Twitter: “Hilarious. Never boring when Alison and Josie are on. We need to see more of them and Dermot and Rylan.”
Another wrote: “Love Alison Dermot Josie & Rylan. Makes me want to watch again", while a third wrote: “Why can’t we always have Alison and Josie presenting. They’re the best and a great laugh.”
And a fourth said: “Like Josie and Alison together #ThisMorning.”
As they kicked off the show, Alison explained Dermot’s absence, saying: "Dermot's on holiday this week. He deserves the break! But you [Josie] are my Louise to my Thelma, my partner in crime. Josie Gibson!"
