We love Tom Daley's fabulous wave-effect pink crochet jumper

Tom Daley isn't just an Olympic diver – he's also a huge fan of knitting and crochet, and regularly amazes us with his stylish handmade pieces for his wardrobe.

Tom's latest project he shared, a pink crochet jumper with a wave design, is no exception. The podcast presenter took to his Made with Love Instagram page to share a video of himself wearing the stylish piece, and talking through the crochet process.

Alongside the video, Tom wrote in the caption: "I’ve been looking through some of my older creations and thought I’d share how I came up with them".

In the video, Tom tries on the crochet jumper, which is made using three shades of pink yarn, and stitches them in ripple stitch, which uses increases and decreases to create a wave shape across the width of the jumper.

He kept the sleeves wide, and continued using ripple stitch to end to create a wave on the cuff of the jumper.

Tom stitched his jumper using treble crochet (which he describes as double crochet, in keeping with US rather than UK terminology) – you can brush up on how to do treble crochet with our video tutorial.

As he wears the jumper, Tom explains: "I was going to do it without the sleeves, but then I do really love the balloon sleeve vibe. But anyway, what do you think? Ripple stitch is a fun one, it's a great way to up your crochet game."

Fans were quick to answer Tom's question and share their thoughts on his crochet creation, with @hwoliphant commenting "So cute! I'd also love it without sleeves" and @britgirlknits commenting "Gorgeous".

This isn't the first time Tom's crochet has impressed us – we loved his crochet bag and adorable crochet unicorn.

We can't wait to see what he stitches next!
