We love Sara Davies' stunning hand-painted candles
Sara Davies is the queen of crafting, and we love all her brilliant and easy ideas – particularly these stunning painted candles, created using crayons.
The Ultimate Wedding Planner star took to her Instagram to share her latest creation: beautifully hand-painted taper candles.
She shared a video of herself creating the candles while sitting in her kitchen. In the video, she says: "You know I'm a fan of a bit of crayon crafting, so I thought I'd have a go at this thing where you melt them. So I'm going to make a bit of a makeshift melting pot.
Sara melts the crayon over a tealight and says: "When it's all melted, they should just paint on. Little hearts – how cute are they!"
Sara also showed off her taper candles covered in tiny painted daisies. She finished the video by wrapping three candles up in twine to give to a friend.
Fans were quick to share how much they loved Sara's brilliant latest idea, with @carolhood309 commenting: "Fabulous idea" and @thecouplethatbakes_ commenting: "This is so clever and so so cute".
This is such a cute project to work on for your home, and can easily be finished in an hour or so! Crayons are such a brilliant addition to your craft supplies, and can be used on so many projects. We loved when Sara shredded them to decorate candles, too.
In the caption on her Instagram post, Sara recommends trying this craft idea with kids over the school holidays. Make sure to always supervise children when using an open flame.
