Love Island's Maya Jama breaks down in tears over betrayal during tonight's Casa Amor recoupling episode

Love Island host Maya Jama is set to shed tears in the upcoming Casa Amor recoupling episode tonight (Thursday) which has been extended to cram in all the extra drama.

ITV chiefs have reportedly lengthened the episode to accommodate all the juicy details, including what happens with Mimii Ngulube and Ayo Odukoya, in what's expected to be a dramatic recoupling, as the girls make their return from the second villa, Casa Amor, after the show was slammed with over 400 complaints this week.

A telly insider spilled to MailOnline: "Maya feels connected to the Islanders... she struggled to hide her emotion during filming of the Casa Amor recoupling. It was tough for her to see the reaction from some of the girls, who were shocked to discover the level of betrayal demonstrated by their partner."

They added: "Some of the couples had been together for a significant number of weeks so it was particularly painful for those to reunite under different circumstances."

"It was one of the most dramatic Love Island episodes ever filmed, so much so, bosses had to extend the show."

Fans will have to stay tuned to find out who pairs up with who, but the 29 year old TV presenter's emotional response has sparked rumours that the episode will be filled with post-Casa chaos.

Several Islanders who were previously coupled up have locked lips with Casa newcomers since the villa girls made their way over to Casa Amor.

Three of the female contestants, Nicole Samuel, Mimii, and Uma Jammeh have been choosing to sleep outside on the Casa daybeds as a sign of their commitment to their partners back in the main villa.

However, their loyalty seems to be one-sided as two of their men, Ayo- who is paired with Mimii - and Wil Anderson, who is coupled with Uma, have locked lips with other girls outside of the challenges.

Adding to the drama, Sean Stone left his fellow male Islanders stunned on Wednesday night (03.07. 24) when he planted a kiss on Diamante Laiva, despite being in a couple with Matilda Draper.

Love Island fans were also left gobsmacked as they clocked Joey Essex could make it to the final. Fans noticed that the hunk didn't make a move on any of the six stunning new bombshells during the dramatic Casa Amor shake-up.

Joey's journey in the villa has seen him entangled in several love triangles after arriving as a bombshell in the first week. Even with the introduction of Emma Milton - an acquaintance from outside the villa - Joey stayed loyal.
