Love Island's Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen's bitter split as they both appear on All Stars
Love Island All Stars is set to return to our TV screens in just a few days, and things may take an awkward turn as a number of stars will be reunited with an ex in the South African sun.
Among those set to cross paths again after eight years are Marcel Somerville and Gabby Allen, who found love in the Mallorcan villa during the 2017 series of Love Island.
The pair's chemistry was undeniable and they secured the fourth spot in the grand finale.
In September 2017, the lovebirds were already setting their sights on a shared future outside the Love Island bubble. Come February 2018, wedding bells seemed to be ringing as Gabby made a hint on This Morning, revealing, "We've discussed whether we'd get married abroad. We've only been together for eight months, so you'd think it would be quick. But it's so magnified that it's already spoken about."

However, by May 2018, the couple's romance had unravelled amidst the idyllic backdrop of Mexico. Since their split, Marcel has tied the knot with Rebecca Vieira and welcomed a son, Roman. Although he's still technically married, his relationship has ended and he's ready to find love once more.
Gabby and Marcel’s split in 2018 sent shockwaves through the UK showbiz scene. At the time, a stunned Gabby expressed her disbelief on Instagram, writing: "Thank you to everyone for your kind messages, love and support. It's been tough couple of days, I think I might still be in a bit of shock! But I'm sure in time I will be OK. I have the best family and friends around me. I'm a lucky girl."
In a shocking revelation just a day later, Marcel confessed to cheating on Gabby during a romantic trip to Mexico following rumours of a spat between the pair. The musician hoped she could forgive him, admitting he would forever regret his actions.
Love Island fans wonder if Marcel and Gabby might rekindle their romance. Even host Maya Jama is keeping her fingers crossed for the duo, expressing: "Marcel is such a sweetheart, Gabby is just the loveliest human as well. So, I'm kind of rooting for them to get back together, but who knows, they could end up in a cute friendship. We're not sure at this point, but neither of them know the other's going in, so that's going to be just fireworks anyway."
Love Island All Stars season two will premiere on Monday, January 13 at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX
