Love Island's Liam Reardon 'virtually homeless' after sinkhole swallows up South Wales home
Love Island's Liam Reardon has found himself in a shocking predicament as he describes being "virtually homeless" after his South Wales home fell victim to a vast sinkhole. The incident occurred in early December while Liam and his family were having breakfast, resulting in their front garden, along with the "front wall and gates disappeared" being engulfed by the 50-foot chasm.
Due to the catastrophic event, their residence now faces demolition. On a podcast with partner Millie Court, Liam shared their current struggle: "We can't go back to the house. It has been emptied and apparently it is going to be knocked down. " He continued detailing the dramatic moments of the incident, expressing their urgent need for a new dwelling: "We park our cars where the hole appeared...Thankfully no-one was injured. We need to find a home to move into now."
With disbelief, he recounted recent events leading up to the disaster: "I still can't believe it myself. We recently sold our family home and moved into this home a few months ago. We have been renting. We have a massive 60ft sinkhole on our driveway. " Reminiscing about the day prior to the collapse, Liam recalled: "The day before, I had driven over that area where the sinkhole appeared about 11am. The tarmac hadn't broken at that point."

The situation quickly escalated: "Got a call at 2pm that afternoon to say there was a small sinkhole at the end of our drive. From there it got worse and worse. " Liam then vividly described the Sunday when their driveway collapsed: "We were in the house on Sunday morning having breakfast then all of a sudden our front gate and wall disappeared."
He further added the terrifying sounds and the emergency reaction they took: "You could hear the thumping of the road disappearing. I was having a cup of coffee, my yoghurt and eggs and everyone was shouting at us to get out. We had to pack a case and just get out."
A massive sinkhole emerged after a culvert collapsed due to the torrential downpour from Storm Bert, resulting in the evacuation of over 30 homes. In the world of reality TV lovebirds, Liam and Millie, both 27, who bagged the top spot in Love Island's seventh series in 2021, went their separate ways after a year together and split in July 2022.
They've since rekindled their romance, with Millie spilling the beans that they're now more loved-up than ever, thanks to "doing long distance".
