Love Island's Diamante Laiva has thrown shade at fellow contestant Sean, suggesting he might not be 'as genuine as we all thought' following the dramatic Casa Amor twist.

In an explosive episode of the ITV dating sensation, host Maya Jama returned to the villa to see if the original islanders would stick with their partners or recouple with one of the bombshells they met in Casa Amor.

Tensions soared as Matilda and Diamante had a fiery confrontation. Diamante, who had grown close to Sean during their time in Casa Amor, even sharing a passionate kiss, was left stunned when Sean chose to remain with Matilda.

Diamante didn't hold back during the recoupling, telling Maya: "It's a bit weird when you can call someone your priority and this is how you treat your priorities. But it's fine. It's absolutely fine."

Matilda retorted: "Well you're not sat here babe", reports the Mirror, to which Diamante sharply replied: "No you can have him, because he's just going to do the same to you."

Post-villa, Diamante has opened up about her experience and her thoughts on Sean, criticising his authenticity. Reflecting on their flirty rapport, she revealed in her exit interview with ITV: "With Sean it was very flirty and smiley from the beginning. When I kissed him in the challenge that's when everything went from 1-100 really quickly."

When asked about her reaction to Sean's choice, she revealed: "I actually was, when Sean was giving his speech he said he was confused, and he was saying he found connections in Casa and as he was saying that I was thinking, 'are we about to couple up? ' I think he chose the safe option to stick with Matilda. He's perhaps not as genuine as we all thought he was."

Wrapping up her chat, Diamante admitted she regretted not pursuing something with Trey, but she's rooting for him and Ellie, saying she's 'excited' to see how their romance blossoms back at the villa.
