A Love Island Food Range Might Be On The WayITV

ITV reality show Love Island is no stranger to a branded product - we've already seen the iconic Love Island water bottles, suitcases and eye masks, but there's a new launch on the cards that takes LI merch in a totally different direction.

Yep, Love Island is dipping its toe into the world of food apparently! The brand has passed an application for trademarks across four different types of food according to The Sun, including crisps, nuts, chocolate and even ready meals. Could we be seeing a Pied-Off Pork Pie, Muggy Macadamias or Pull-You-For-A-Chat Prawn Cocktail Crisps sometime soon? Perhaps.

It's not all about the snacks either. Love Island has also trademarked the show's name for wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks. It-Is-What-It-Is IPA, anyone?

Sauces, salad dressings, soups, dips, jams and even fish paste (mmm Factor 50 Fish Paste...) are now trademarked for 10 years.

The newly acquired legislation also blocks other retailers from using the Love Island name on their products, meaning anything labelled with the reality show's name in shops from now on will be the real deal.

Although there's no news yet of an official line of Love Island food merch, we'll be on the lookout for updates and you'll be the first to know about any new launches.

Love Island's winter series returns to our screens on 16th January.
