Love Island fans have a surprising new favourite in the villa

Love Island fans have found an unlikely new favourite in the villa, after he joined from Casa Amor. No, not Hugo's new haircut, but 23-year-old Sam Jackson.

The maintenance engineer coupled up with Faye Winter, after she saw Teddy Soares sharing a kiss with Juliette Clarisse on the postcard. But since the original six boys have headed back to the villa, Faye and Teddy have got back together - with fans labelling them the 'true love story' of the series.

Last night's [3 August] episode, though, rubbed salt into the wound for Sam, after Faye and Teddy recoupled - and then Mary Bedford, one of the single girls in the villa, used her recoupling speech to dig at Abi Rawlings for choosing Dale Mehmet.

Fans were gutted for Sam, quickly taking to Twitter to label him their new favourite. "Someone bring a girl for Sam he looks like a nice lad," one person wrote on Twitter. Another put, "Sam deserves so much better. seeing him standing alone breaks my heart #loveisland."

A third said, "Mary, stop making Sam feel like shit x" and "Sam deserves better! I really like him."
