Love Island fans are still reeling from the shock double axing in last night's episode which saw Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton, being booted out of the villa.

While Joey Essex is in everybody's bad books and is being blamed for causing Omar to be booted off after their heated exchange last week and their clashing comments over Grace in last night's episode, there is another male contestant who has upset viewers with his words.

Sweet seller Sean Stone has been branded a "snake" by fans who say he's "so embarrassing" after a series of remarks he made about his supposed villa BFF. The 24-year-old was called out during the recoupling ceremony after he said the dumping of PE teacher Omar, 25, would "do me a favour" because the pair were both vying for the affections of arrival Matilda Draper.

It wasn't long before his comment – which he tried to justify by saying he had a "better" connection with the 24-year-old than Omar – was blasted on social media site X.

And fellow islander Ciaran became hero of the hour when he was quick to call out Sean's comments, saying that Omar too deserved a chance to follow his connection with Matilda, and going on to highlight the fact that she herself should choose who she wants to spend her time with.

One user posted: "I'm not gonna lie, this whole discussion made Sean look like a snake… Ciaran impressed me big time! Ayo & Mimii also tried to fight Omar corner. Basically both Harriet and Sean wanted to eliminate their competition."

A second put: "I’m backing Ciaran here because how embarrassing for Sean to have to literally physically remove the competition."

A third mused: "CIARAN CLOCKING SEAN’S TEA??? YUP bc Sean dumped Omar just so he could have no competition with Matilda, it’s giving INSECURE."

Another fan then posted: "Sean and Harriet moving sly glad Ciaran is calling him out" while one said: "OMG I love Ciaran for speaking up for what is morally correct even though Sean got away with it. I've always found Sean to be super cringe in every way but he lost my respect entirely today. How is cutting out the competition fair? Ngl this is a form of corruption."

It's hasn't been a great week for Sean on social media as he also got slammed for screwing over his pal Omar by stealing Matilda away from Omar for a trip to The Hideaway.

Fans were quick to demand he was sent packing after he leaned in for a kiss – only to be snubbed, much to his embarrassment and their delight.
