Love Island fans rage over ‘fix’ as Omar axed after Joey Essex row
We don't expect anything less than drama, drama, drama when it comes to Love Island, but this year seems to be in a league of its own! And it all kicked off again last night – only this time outside of the villa – as fans were outraged at Omar being dumped and exiting the show in a brutal double axing instead of Joey Essex after the pair's heated row, with many saying the show is "fixed".
Earlier in the epsiode, Joey turned on Omar after hearing he had been flirting with Grace and said to him: “Obviously mate, you’ve got to understand I am hearing things…Grace has told me you’ve said a few things. She’s told you to behave….apparently you’ve been flirting with her.”
Omar interrupted: “But at the same time I’m going about my business…then I’m asking what’s been said and I ain’t being told what’s been said. So, that’s annoying me even more now…”
Joey replied: “I’m not trying to embarrass you." and hitting back, Omar said: “But in the same breath you’re saying it’s no competition, it's no competition and I’m thinking, I ain’t even trying to compete with you. Why did you say it then?”
Last week tempers also flared between the two and their fellow islanders had to pull them apart, leading PE teacher Omar being forced to sleep in the villa ’s Beach Hut – leaving Joey and Grace in the main bedroom.
And in a surprise move in last night's episode, Maya Jama entered the villa to reveal the public had been voting.
She announced that Mimii and Ayo, Nicole and Ciaran and Harriett and Sean were safe, leaving Tiffany and Ronnie, Jess and Omar, Grace and Joey and Uma and Wil vulnerable.
Maya then told them: "Only one boy and one girl will be dumped from the island today. And that decision will be made by the Islanders saved by the public. Safe Islanders you all have a big decision to make so please can you head to the mini fire pit to discuss it now."
Harriett returned and delivered the news that Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton had been booted off the island.
As a result, furious fans have branded the show a 'fix' with one saying, “Omar being dumped deffo has something to do with the argument with Joey" A second raged: "This is literally such a fix, producers know what they are doing ! should’ve been joey and grace.”
“It was obvious Joey and Grace got the least votes and that's why they're making the islanders choose," said a third. While a fourth said: “IT SHOULD BE THE PUBLIC VOTE @LoveIsland !!!!!! This is such a fix.”
And another added: “Wtf. Joey and long term girlfriend should have gone!! They were obviously a couple before entering!! Ffs! Fix!”
"Omar suspiciously dumped after his row with joey?" someone else questioned.
