Love Island 2023: Maya Jama's 10 most iconic fashion moments ranked
It’s fair to say that although Maya Jama was hosting 2023’s winter series of Love Island, she too was a winner, with a sartorial agenda that served showstopping looks every single time she appeared on our screens.
Immediately after it was announced she would be taking over from Laura Whitmore as host of the reality show, we were (impatiently) waiting to witness the presenter’s outfit choices from her enviably stylish wardrobe.

From the moment she stepped out in South Africa for the first time wearing a slinky bluey-green Roberto Cavalli slip dress, we knew to expect a bunch of summer wardrobe inspiration throughout the rest of the season. And my goodness, she did not disappoint.
Last night the presenter ended the series with Love Island: The Reunion wearing a sultry new season corset blazer from Mugler which summarised her stellar sartorial prowess from start to finish.
There were three things in particular Maya loved this season: cut-outs, slinky silhouettes and red.
The most difficult decision we had to make all Monday was choosing only ten, however…

10 - Maya Jama’s fuschia pink dress
Pink certainly made the boys (and every other person on the planet watching) wink with this jaw-dropping dress Maya wore on the first episode of Love Island: Aftersun. Aside from the stunning shocking pink colour and the ultra flattering cut-out design, we’re impressed that this dress from Hanifa is super affordable in comparison to many of her high-end looks.
9 - Maya Jama’s body heat dress
Body heat, or heatmap dresses have been loved by social media sartorialists for a while now, but nobody has quite worn one like Maya did on Love Island. She wore this stunning deep orange dress with yellow highlights from Syndical Chambers, giving the street style trend a super sultry upgrade.
8 - Maya Jama's leather co-ord
Maya Jama donned the ultimate Milo Maria co-ord in an episode of Aftersun, giving 70s disco but make it sexy, in a leather halterneck top and matching flared trousers.
7 - Maya Jama's Rat & Boa Ruffle Dress
This season has made the host a contender for 2023’s unofficial queen of the ruffle dress. She wore the Rat and Boa dress that screamed ‘dramatic elegance’ with its bold blue orchid print, low neckline and ruffled hem.
6- Maya Jama’s vintage Dolce and Gabbana dress
Before her spectacular black new season Mugler corset blazer on Sunday, Maya donned another sultry black designer number earlier in the season. She wore a corset-inspired vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress with eyelet and lace-up features and a busty neckline. Exquisite.
5- Maya Jama's Clio Peppiatt mini dress
Though her halterneck celestial jumpsuit from the brand that we saw on our socials and our TV screens in the build up to the show was dreamy, her dress from the final aftersun of the series marginally took the crown. She stunned in the glittery ‘Martini’ mini dress with a pink feather trim that set the tone for our sunset party ‘lewks’ this summer.
4 - Maya Jama's red knit co-ord
Fashion month was awash with fiery red looks, and Maya’s daring red knit bra and skirt set from Crolage schooled us on wearing the colour for summer 2023.
3 - Maya Jama’s red Laquan Smith two piece
An outfit that surprisingly had the internet divided. She donned a stunning red Laquan Smith cut out bodysuit and skirt that added that extra bit of drama to the Casa Amor recoupling.
2 - Maya Jama's Black Mônot Dress
The dress that we saw Maya drop her first bombshell in had us well and truly mesmerised. The crepe halterneck gown from Monot boasted a daring neckline and cut outs across the chest and hips to highlight her recognisable curves. In addition, Kate Hudson wore the same Mônot piece back in 2021.
1 - Maya Jama’s Roberto Cavalli dress
We had to award her opening episode Roberto Cavalli dress the top spot. Setting the sartorial tone for the rest of the show, Maya broke the internet when she stunned in the blue-green tie dye dress with a ruffle hem that certainly got us in the mood for summer.
