When is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on TV?
The TV series is available to watch from Friday, 2 September and will air in eight weekly instalments, out every Friday.
How can I watch The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in the UK?
The Rings of Power is streaming exclusively on Prime Video, so you'll need to be a subscriber to watch it.
If you already have a Prime Video account, episodes will be available each Friday.
Those who don't yet subscribe to the service will need to sign up for an Amazon Prime account to access Prime Video - which also comes with the other benefits of ordering through Prime, and as usual there is a 30-day free trial available.

Who stars in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power?
Look out for Sir Lenny Henry, a star signing for the cast as Sadoc Burrows.
He'll be appearing alongside Trystan Gravelle as Pharazôn, Morfydd Clark as Galadriel, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Queen Regent Mariel, and Robert Aramayo as Elrond.

Other stars include Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Sophia Nomvete and Charles Edwards, but it's a huge ensemble cast with many more to watch for.
Is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power based on a book?
While the prequel series isn't adapted from a J R R Tolkien book, it is set within the universe of his work and draws heavy inspiration from both characters and the history he created.
It follows the Second Age of Middle Earth and is set thousands of years before the events of The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings.
The series will also depict the rise of Sauron and the process of the rings of power being created, as well as the previously unseen kingdom of Númenor and the last alliance between elves and men.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is available to stream on Prime Video from Friday, 2 September.
