Getting a haircut is something that varies on the list of priorities for many people. Some are very consistent with scheduling their routine haircut, while many may dodge making an appointment until they have a significant event coming up.

Others may simply not have the time to sit in a salon or are attached to their current style. Whatever category you fall under, many of us are left considering getting a trim after watching video after video of other people going through striking hair transformations.

And one such clip has wowed thousands of viewers on TikTok. Thai Nguyen, who boasts 1.7million followers on the video platform, is so well known for his abilities that people travel from across the US to have him style their hair from his shop in Richmond, Virginia.

One such client was a 20-year-old man who had made the decision to cut his long hair, which he had been growing since school. As the Manchester Evening News reports, with his 21st birthday around the corner, the young man wanted to freshen up his look.

Wanting to look sharp for a celebratory trip to Las Vegas, he went to the Richmond barber to have his over-the-shoulder-length hair trimmed into a stylish modern mullet. Thai suggested finishing off the look with a messy middle parting as well.

After being asked if he had told anyone about the trip, the young man admitted everyone at his workplace was excited about the upcoming transformation - and he was not left disappointed with the result either.

After the big reveal of his new image, he exclaims: "Oh that looks good man... It looks 10 times better than I was expecting. Dude, I'm super satisfied."

His mum's approval of the new look was the icing on the cake, with her having "no regrets" about the long golden locks being chopped off.

Thai's online audience also showed their support for the transformation, with one TikTok users saying: "Bro is a miracle worker." While another added: "I would never ever change barbers after that."

The TikTok clip has been watched over 1.9million times and has racked up over 1,000 comments and almost 200,000 likes. Could this chop be your motivation to go book that hair appointment?
