London Fashion Week Just Got Finger Lickin’ Good
LONDON — Is there any better way to end a wild night out other than chomping down on crunchy, golden Kentucky Fried Chicken? No, according to Sinead Gorey.
At her latest runway show at London Fashion Week, the designer teamed up with KFC to reimagine the post-party trip home as an empowering moment. Models came down the catwalk in itty-bitty party dresses and striped chainmail sets with a crumpled KFC bag in hand.

“The collection is about redefining the ‘walk of shame’ as a moment of confidence, power and accidental elegance,” Gorey said. “That feeling you have the morning after the night before often can be met with anxiety and I wanted to shift that narrative, as we shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for having a good time.”
One model, wearing a corseted hoodie and black sweatpants, nibbled on a chicken sandwich as she stormed down the runway. Ever-so-matted hair and obnoxiously oversize sunglasses sold the look, giving a delicious, greasy spin on what is normally an unglamorous scenario.
“For me, KFC is synoptic with my mornings — and my late nights — when you need that craving to hit the spot so you can keep going,” the designer added.
While it might not have been the Gorey’s LFW debut, which launched in 2019 a BFC-supported presentation, it marked the first time KFC has hit the runway.
“Fashion and fried chicken might not be the most obvious pairing, but that’s exactly why we love it,” said Kate Tipper, KFC U.K. and Ireland’s marketing director. “Sinead Gorey’s AW25 collection is all about the day after the night before, and we know nothing fuels a debrief like a bucket of KFC.”
