While The Duchess of Cambridge's royal wardrobe regularly causes a fashion frenzy, it's not just royal fans who emulate her style, on occasion, celebrities do too.
On Friday morning Amanda Holden left the Heart Breakfast Radio Studios wearing a vintage-inspired blue polkadot dress that many 'Kate effect' fans may think looks rather familiar.
Cast your mind back to 2018, when the Duchess of Cambridge wore the sell-out Alessandra Rich polka-dot shirt dress with a contrast collar, which retailed for £1,225, for Prince Charles' 70th birthday portrait.
A year later, she re-wore the outfit when she visited an exhibition at Bletchley Park, England, to mark the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings on 14 May 2019.
The elegant number was then replicated by numerous high street stores and sold out swiftly at every single one.
Now, three years on, L.K.Bennett has released a very similar looking design – the Mathilde Navy & Cream Polka Dot Silk Tea Dress, which is the dress Holden recently wore.
The Mathilde Navy & Cream Polka Dot Silk Tea Dress looks very similar to Kate's stylish number with its navy blue and white polka-dot print and contrast cream collar.
It also features long sleeves, and a slight puff sleeve, statement crystal buttons down the front and a pleat detail to the bust, with a flattering tailored waist.
This style comes in UK dress sizes 6 to 18 and costs £350, which is far less than the £1,000-plus original.
It has already sold out in numerous sizes over the last few months, but has just had a recent re-stock - so if you want to get the royal-approved look for less, now's your chance to do so.
