Lizzo just posted her vegan BLT salad recipe and we are here for it
Lizzo's TikTok account really is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to finding inspo for delicious, plant-based meals. The singer recently shared her recipe for a vegan BLT salad and it might just be the best one yet.
The 'Juice' singer shows viewers exactly how to make the lunch, which includes:
lettuce
vegan bacon
chopped onion
shredded carrot
cherry tomatoes
garlic powder
pickles
parmesan
vegan mayonnaise
The salad caught the eye of 'Clueless' actress and longtime vegan Alicia Silverstone who duetted her TikTok with the offer of a lunch date: 'Hi Lizzo!! I love your #vegan lifestyle 🌱 Lunch date soon? My treat 💚 I know some amazing spots here in LA...🤤'
Hey, if Lizzo says 'no', we're available!
Lizzo regularly shares her favourite snacks and meals with fans on TikTok having recently adopted a vegan diet. Back in 2020, she shared a video showcasing what she ate that day with the caption 'As a new vegan, I'm enjoying exploring flavours from plants & plant-based proteins! Every journey is personal and deserves to be celebrated.'
Disclaiming that she doesn't eat perfectly every day, she reveals what her average day of food looks like as a vegan and it all looks mouthwatering.
For breakfast, the Grammy-winner starts with a green smoothie made with coconut water, frozen fruit, and kale or spinach. Salads seem to be a go-to for Lizzo's lunch as she puts together a colourful plate of kale, red cabbage, avocado, onion, broccoli and carrots.
Snacks are still a top priority for Lizzo (we can relate) and she shared her fave vegan alternative for Cheetos. 'These are Cheeto-alternatives I love that's vegan and I dip them in hummus.'
For dinner, the salad from lunch reappeared alongside quinoa and mushrooms and she finished off the day with a peanut butter and jelly smoothie made with vanilla protein, frozen strawberries, oat milk, and 'love from Jesus.' Amen.
